Bong's life in KL- 31st of March, 2009

Yesterday was school orientation, had planned to take some pics to blog about, but when I took out my camera, I found out I left my memory card..

Well, orientation was okay I suppose, fun but boring at the same time. Not that I'm not sporting lah, (i'm probably not sometimes, depending on the situation) I didn't have enough sleep and was feeling kinda grumpy. To be honest, they way one of the seniors expressed his words were kinda like the way I do on the bus, trying to be sarcastically funny? Hmm. SKIP. So, I like Mr Allan, he is very funny, didn't catch his title, but he's the from the TLC center (teaching and learning centre) and he describes his office as 'the aquarium' cuz it's glass, and everyone looks inside when they pass by and stare at them, and they stare back at the 'outside world' as he says.. HAHA. I know, i laugh at lame jokes.

I didn't get this senior's name (guy) and he can make music with only his mouth, I don't know what you call that. But it's really really cool. He demo-ed and also did Britney's 'I'm a slave for you' & he did the singing too! Although he sounded like gay but it was for entertainment purposes only. FUNNY.

I guess i'm beginning to like KDU. They have funny seniors and fun 'grown-ups', I seriously don't know how to address them yet, they're not lecturers but they work for the school. I'm kinda confused with the routes still. I'll take pics when I get to school tomorrow.

Lovey Winnie & Me. <3

BTW, I seriously wanna complain abot blogger for the spacing thing. There's this problem with it everytime you add pics. S*****!

Today's the academic briefing day, so we are all separated into different groups depending on the courses that we're taking. A level students are given two weeks time to go to any class to try-out first, they are actually teaching, and you can go in, sit down, listen to classes and THEN decide what you want to take. Minimum 3subjects. I'm gonna take Law, Business Studies & English Literature. I mean whats the point of coming here if I'm taking everything but law? Brunei offers the others and much cheaper too!

And we were also told that English Literature will only exist IF 15 or more students sign up for that class, otherwise we have to choose something else, so to back-up, I'm taking accounting.

I don't wish to be someone successful, because I know I will be!

Group pic on the day before I left for KL.

everything's different here. The lifestyle, basically everything. Totally different, although Brunei is more kampung-like, but we are people with better standards, and more polite. The people here, if they accidentally bump into you, they don't say sorry, and you also have to worry about your pocket. LOL

Yes, I kept saying sorry last sunday when they bumped into me. Edwin asked me not to keep saying sorry, Seriously, college is much more better comparing to you walking on the streets with all those impolite people.

I'm telling you, the way they drive is crazy! ALMOST hitting into one another ALL THE TIME. I had the ride of my life this morning. When I was going to school, I believe the others strongly agrees with me. They speed into other lanes with signals on NOT CARING whether the other car allows them or not. they CHEONG niah. Wu siao boh you say? I don't want to die in KL traffic due to their inconsiderate driving. But nobody cares, they all drive this way.

They don't look out for people on the road, YOU look out for them on the road, now I understand why all those China Tourists are so afraid when they cross the road back at home. Brunei is the complete opposite! Imagine that! I really wish I'm super RICHHHHH so I can go home every weekend. What's that you say? You'd rather stay in KL then in Brunei? I'd gladly trade with you. It's not that I don't like it here. I like it, but the people I love aren't here. AND I am TOTALLY NOT interested in Night Life. I'd rather sleep. If my loved ones are here, then I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try.

A temporary wallet I got, small and convenient. Plus the teddy bear is cute and you can slip it into that small pocket behind the bear that you see in the pic.

I realized that it only gets dark here at almost 8pm. I've been so bored today. I went to school at 930am and came back at 1pm, online, sleep, wake up, eat, online again. I'm going to get FAT and have a huge butt when i get home. I just know it!

I'm missing my wong alot alot alot. I miss MOM's food. Regretting not staying home to eat last time.. I also regret complaining about the food. I call Wong & home everyday! I'm so happy. I'm using DIGI. It's so cheap can? Better than you using DST to call DST for 20cents per min. IT'S LIKE FREAKING 17cents (converted to Brunei) for one minute! And it's 0.9sen (RM) to call Brunei landline. SIAO LIAO!

BTW, there's no washing machine in the hostel, have to do your laundry manually.. Luckily I'm washing my stuff everyday, so only ard 2pcs per day average to wash. My room is on the 5th floor, I have to climb all those like every single time I go in / out. So I'm avoiding to go out frequently until I know someone. I still haven't seen my roommate yet.

The people here either speaks canto & english OR they only speak chinese & bahasa m'sia. lucky I speak a little bit of canto. BTW, for my course, it's compulsory for all m'sians to take bahasa malaysia, and the malay they speak is like singing some cheerful song, I can only understand if they speak slowly, it's totally different from Brunei Malay. I'm gonna die doing this, I AM.

AND HEY! I'll be back home by 1st of JUNE! I'll see you guys at home real soon. Will be missing all of you in the mean time. Gotta go. Need to bath and catch an episode of gossip girls. HEHE!

here's a pic of me just incase you're starting to forget how i look like.

Always with Love,

BONG!
